Der Wild Wild Run - What I Feel???

it was such a fantastic event for me even i had been so tired for these few weeks!

one day before the race day, i was pretty nervous that i could not have a sleep for the whole night, i was rolling myself around on my bed, when i closed my eyes i felt more excited! more nervous! could not wait for the day to come!

Ronnie gave me morning message in the early morning 4.30am, i quickly put all the stuff inside my car, and ready to go out to pick Julie up and pick up some 'kuih' at U Lek. Arrived Zoo at sharp 6am to unload all the things at the starting point. at that time sky still dark, in the situation without any light we were not able to setup all the things. After that rushed to the reporting place (main entrance), during reporting time i felt a little bit confuse, some runners brought their family members without informing us, so we did not have extra tickets for them as we ordered only for runners, volunteers and whoever who informed me earlier, however the ticket counter opened at 7.15am so their family members had no worries to enter to zoo compound anytime.

after that, i had to place few volunteers to their respective check points they need to stand at. with just delayed for few minutes, the race finally flagged off. when i was walking back to the starting point, the first runner almost completed the first loop. went back to the starting point taking care all the stuff, and making sure everything was going fine but nothing is perfect, for timekeepers they might have some confusion because they need to be very alert whenever runners pass through some more we required runners to run loops. it was not easy to be timekeeper as their responsibility is heavy.

i was quite happy with this event overall, all the hard works from us are not wasted. even though i was tired but it is worth it! now can sleep for a whole day as i did not sleep for more than 24 hours. hopefully next year will have second edition of wild wild run! bye bye!

i almost wanted to pengsan liao! zzzzzzzzzz

other reports : Lim Pueh Tian, Lionel Lee, Frank Chong, Nazib Ngainin, Choi Chik Choy etc

Good stuff - i enjoyed myself thoroughly :)

oh..nasi lemak - if there were spoons, it would have been better ;) but overall, very successful run. good thing it was a small group though, if we had more ppl, the track would be too congested...
