i needed a very slow run at this kok run as i had juz done speed training yesterday with 800m x 8 sets, we actually could have done more despite der young school children had their sports day. however der school teacher asked us to stop training bcoz they were going to start der matching session.
my feet still tired and heavy on sunday. i started with a very slow pace as i didn't set any target for this run since this was not my VERY IMPORTANT race. der 1st hill was at der carcosa which required us to climb up der stairs and run approx. 600m to der top then go down. der 2nd hill was much more challenging, it was steep, slippery and dangerous, all der way up to der deer park and from there we go down to der starting point again.
i only had my energy back in 3rd loop when i increased my speed to chase everybody back. i realised most of der runners exhausted in der 2nd hill. i met chanbai at der deer park, i asked him not to give up and inspired him, we sprinted together to der finishing line. i finished my race with 1'01'39 (29th) which i felt pretty satisfied in slow run.
congratulation once again to chap ayam group who organised it well for der 1st time! overall was fantastic and fun. i hope it would be better in der 2nd time.
