after a consecutive 2 days racing, i think i have to rest before going for another half marathon this friday. luckily telekom muzium race was not exactly 10k (only 7.14km) otherwise i would have finished in siemens run, it was really testing my fitness. after doing 7k on saturday, i still felt tired during siemens run, i could have done PB if i had enough energy to go all out on sunday.
i did not go all out on saturday either, but der hill towards kl tower was certainly a killer, plus other hills, it was so tough to attack. somemore i did not have enough warm up. i could feel my heart rate was getting higher even though not going maximum, der red blood cells carrying O2 & CO2 rapidly. der moment when chen pong pong overtook me during last 100m i was scared and tried to make it through to der finishing point, but it was inside der gate, i though it finished outside so i stopped, what a waste of opportunity to beat him again!
during siemens run, i did not expect to have any target, i juz wanted to finish der race with injury-free within 50 minutes bcoz i was extremely tired after yesterday's race. meyya was pacing me towards jalan salahuddin, but i could not keep in touch with him as he had gone faster. upon reaching jalan parlimen, i was almost exhausted. my GPS showed only 7k, which mean another 3k to go. i was looking for water to hydrate myself however der entire water station was blocked by students, with no time wasting, i continued running without any water. in der last 1.2k i saw thurai and suresh who asked me to pace with them, thanks a lot for motivating! i felt a lot more comfortable after that and could go faster.
within these 2 days, i found that not easy to run high speed in both races, unless perform der best for der 1st and take it easy for der 2nd or vice versa. after this need good rest, and something good to revive myself.
