We would like to invite you and your friends to attend a talk on “Creative Images: Malaysian Frottage Project” by Mr Edwin Easydorchik. Edwin was an Artist in Residence at MIA in 1999 and during that time he was engaged in a project to ‘capture’ images of Malaysia using the technique of frottage. He made a number of works in the Chinatown area of Kuala Lumpur, Taman Negara and a durian watch-house located in the last remaining area of jungle in Kuala Lumpur.
Edwin will illustrate with images produced and he will also show a short DVD of his solo exhibition in Seoul, South Korea, in 2004, together with some images from a group exhibition held in Korea in 2005.
